Jan. 26-30, IB Psychology 1 students began the experimental process for their IA’s, independent studies required by the IB Program. Junior Emily Doak is pictured here while conducting her IA on junior Jaclyn Roemer. The IA’s are meant to teach the students how to conduct their own studies and how to properly evaluate the data they receive. “It taught me how to do independent work like by myself more and be more confident in my work. It showed me like how much work actual psychologists put into their studies, its a lot of work” said Doak. The students in IB Psychology 1 will soon begin the process of evaluating their results and formulating it into a proper report to turn into the IB graders for their overall score.
