The boys soccer team beat Park Hill last night 2-0. Going into the game, the team was nervous about what was going to happen.
“We knew it was going to be a hard game. We lost to them already so we knew we had to come out strong,” said Sophomore Tony Mok.
Junior Chase Fearon scored around the 20th minute of the first half.
“We came out strong and got Chase got an early goal which gave us confidence for the rest of the game,” said Mok.
Going into half time, the Titans were up 1-0.
In the second half, Mok scored around the 20th minute which took Park Hill out of the game.
“The defense played exceptional tonight. We completely shut down their offense. They might have gotten two or three shots on goal,” said Senior Quentin Coates.
The Titans went on to win the game and were satisfied with the outcome.
“We played the game how our coach told us to. He told us that it was going to be a physical game and that we needed to keep our heads and stay focused. The other team had a tendency to become frustrated. We just had to play our game and that’s what we did,” said Coates.
The boys’ next game is October 1st at 6:30pm at Ruskin.
