This past weekend, the LSW marching band competed in their last competition hosted at Kansas State University. They competed at the Central State Marching Festival against around 40 bands. The Titan marching band performed their halftime show routine, which they’ve performed at home football games, for a series of judges who gave them comments and scores for the bands. The marching band received a rating of 1, the highest rating possible.
“We had a lot of fun together, and after we stayed for another three hours and watched other high school bands and the Kansas State University band,” Band Director Clifton Thurmond said.
The LSW marching band has been practicing since their band camp, which began Aug. 9, and has rehearsed every Tuesday and Thursday evenings. They also competed two other times and performed at all of the home football games.
