This past week the girls varsity team faced Lee’s Summit at home this past friday. The team took a loss but had many stand out individual performances.
Junior Rachel Ramirez said “I think Ella Smith played the best today, after she missed Columbia by one spot she was motivated to play good so I think that helped her out a lot.” Another bright spot for the titans came as Campbell Gann finished first place in flight singles. Coach Turner also sees light at the end of the tunnel, “this is a very talented group and I hope to make another run back to state in the very near future.”
Looking on to next week the Lady Titans are on the road for both of their matches. Wednesday the girls face off versus Park Hill South @4 P.M. and travel to St. Teresa’s Thursday. Coach Turner said “ I expect effort and to just play hard, but I think these are very winnable matches for our girls.”
