What TV Show Should You Binge Watch This Summer?

With summer around the corner, students are going to have a lot of extra time on their hands. To avoid the inevitable boredom that results in having a large amount of free time, binge watching always comes in handy. Here are five television shows (all available on Netflix) that are sure to keep you entertained.  

“The Office (U.S.)”

Who would’ve thought a show centered around a paper company could be this entertaining? The documentary-style show follows Michael Scott, the quirky, imperfect regional manager at Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, and his fellow co-workers throughout their everyday life at the office. Though the premise appears dull, it’s anything but. The sitcom is bound to get a laugh out of almost anybody who watches the wild antics Michael and the employees get into. If you want to watch a show with a diverse and memorable cast that will leave you wanting more after each episode, “The Office” is for you.

 

“Friends”

This classic 90’s sitcom is about a group of six friends trying to live their life in New York City. Viewers get to watch the hilarious and sometimes outrageous situations the gang get themselves into. Each of the characters stand out on their own and almost anyone can connect to at least one of their personalities. You’ll get to go on the crazy roller coaster as you experience the romances, heartbreaks, and struggles of each character all while having a good laugh. It’s an iconic TV show a lot of people enjoy watching in their free time. In the end, you may feel like you’re one of the friends.

 

“Criminal Minds”

Do you like shows about crime, sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat action, and perplexing mysteries? Look no further-“Criminal Minds” is the next show you should binge watch. The show is about members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI and how they solve even the most mind-boggling of high profile crimes. You’ll follow the team as they try to analyze the perpetrator and profile the criminal in order to stop them from striking again. If all of the anticipation and crime solving isn’t enough, you’ll find yourself hooked to the show by the well-loved cast of characters.

 

“Grey’s Anatomy”

Set in Seattle, “Grey’s Anatomy” is a medical based drama following Meredith Grey, an aspiring surgeon who’s starting her internship for the residency program at Seattle Grace Hospital. The show focuses on Grey and her fellow interns as they learn what it takes to become a surgeon. The show is filled with drama, whether it be amongst friends or family, or if it’s dealing with relationships. It also shows the intensity that comes with working in a hospital. You may become quickly attached to the characters and the relationships they form.  

 

“Gossip Girl”

Centered around a group of privileged teenagers living on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, “Gossip Girl” contains everything you need to have a great drama series. From scandals to heartache to betrayals, viewers are in for a wild ride of drama that will keep everyone entertained. Plus, throughout the show, a anonymous blogger is exposing the deepest secrets and rumors of all of the teenagers and no one can figure out who it is. The show is also known for its iconic relationships and you’ll be thinking throughout the series, “Will they ever get together?”
