Story by Alex Asbury
Antigone, a tragic play that Advanced English 10 has recently started a unit on. In English teacher, Nicole Cusick’s class, students have been required to create a mask that depicts one of the characters from the play. For each character the students assigned to the character would stand in front of the class to read a paragraph on the mask and show the mask to the class members. After students have finished presenting a character the class would vote on the best masks based on the masks assigned numbers. After the best masks have been picked from each class there will be another vote over all the mask from all of Cusick’s other classes. The masks picked in the end will be used when students start to act out the play.
