Chili Bowl Aims for Community

Lee’s Summit Community Church annually holds this event in which members build their own team of up to 8 people and compete in flag football.Chili bowl is held at the Kansas City Sports Lodge. The teams get to choose their own name and design their own outfits. The league consist of three divisions to play in; middle school level, high school noncompetitive, and high school competitive. Each team starts out in three rounds of pool play and depending on how many of the three they win or lose, move up accordingly. If you successfully beat all three of your teams you move into championships. Two teams from each division face off to determine who is the division champs.
Overall, Chili Bowl’s ultimate goal is to bring everyone together as a community and build relationships as well as learning to working together.
