Story by Hailey Skinner
General Psychology students in Mr. Welch’s class have been observing the way their individual brains work to control the left and right sides of their bodies. On both Monday and Tuesday a series of tasks/games were set up around the room for students to participate in. Sometimes using their left hand and other times using their right hand, the students recorded results. The goal of these experiments was to determine if practicing an activity with the right hand helps the left hand perform better as well. Pictured, seniors Lexie Mikesell and Lesli Watkins are flipping playing cards right-side-up as fast as they can while being timed.
