Many students at Lee’s Summit West have enlisted in the A+ program in order to gain community service hours and to receive possible scholarship money.
However, some students participate in the program because they enjoy helping younger students prosper in learning.
“I’m glad I come here and am able to help the kids,” said Junior Nigel Moody on traveling to Summit Lakes for A+.
Students who participate in the program said they gain both experience, service hours and fulfillment from the program.
