Wednesday night the PAC grew packed for the 6th Annual Mr. Titan Competition hosted by Mix 93.3 ‘s own Steve Serrano. A dozen senior men competed in order to gain the title of Mr. Congeniality, Mr. Entourage and the coveted Mr. Titan.

“[When] I found out all my friends were doing it too I knew I couldn’t miss out on that opportunity to have fun and make some more memories with my friends,” said Senior Austin Dismond. All proceeds from the event went directly to Project Grad. Admission was $5 and as people walked through the doors, they used dollar bills in order to cast their votes for Mr. Entourage which went to Senior DeMarcus Edwards. Mr. Congeniality, voted on by the contestants, was awarded to Senior Alexander Grantham. “It is awesome to know that I am well liked by my fellow classmates and contestants,” Grantham said.

After much deliberation, the scores were tallied and a Mr. Titan was crowned. Senior Austin Dismond walked away as the newly crowned Mr. Titan. “It’s nice and I enjoyed participating this year, but I mean there was a lot of other people that were deserving of it. Everyone did a really good job,” said Dismond when asked how it felt to receive the honor.

Not only did Mr. Titan raise money for Project Grad, but it created a lasting memory in the senior’s last weeks of high school. “Mr. Titan is a night I will never forget. The group of seniors participating in the event this year were awesome and great to work with. I don’t think I will ever do anything like that ever again in my life, and that’s why I’ll remember [Mr. Titan] as a whole forever,” Grantham said.
