The girls softball game scheduled for Wednesday, September 26th was cancelled. The Lee’s Summit West varsity girls were ready to play Ruskin High School for the second time at four o’clock Wednesday but Ruskin backed out. Although the weather was rainy, that wasn’t the reason for the cancellation. the game was cancelled because the Golden Eagles lacked the requisite number of players for a game. The game will be postponed for sometime next week, the exact date is undetermined.

“Yeah, it stinks that we didn’t have a chance to play, but it’s not the end of the world,” Sophmore Caitlyn Knox said. “We beat them last time by quite a lot and it’d probably just be a repeat of last game, but it’s still nice to have the practice.” the left fielder said.

Last time the Titans played the Golden Eagles, they won 15 to 0, so when the time comes to play them again, “We will be more then ready. Hopefully we play them as well as we did last time,” said Freshman and pitcher Mandy Roberts. The softball girls also look forward to playing in Districts starting October 3rd.
